description of my mission in uganda

Director of Education,
Uganda Orthodox Church

1. Assist in co-ordinating and consolidating the education department of the Uganda Orthodox Church

1. Help to organize and stabilize the various schools, both primary and secondary

2. Provide a structured approach to planning and implementation

3. Help the headmasters and teachers organize themselves and their communities

4. Work with both government and private funding sources to enable our schools to grow and move forward

5. Monitor and train headmasters in accurate recordkeeping and financial accountability

6. Work with the Metropolitan in strengthening Church ownership of school lands and property

7. Ensure that the curricula are consistent with the beliefs of Orthodox Christianity

2. Assist in development of St. Paul Seminary of the Uganda Orthodox Church

1. Teaching

2. Curriculum development

3. Textbooks and other materials

4. Scheduling & logistics

5. Personal and spiritual growth of seminarians
